About Us
For nearly two decades, the Jenin Creative Cultural Centre (J3C) has championed the power of art, culture, and education to uplift and empower Palestinian youth. As a registered nonprofit under the Palestinian Ministry of Interior, J3C fosters peace, justice, and equity through community-based programs, international exchange, and creative expression.
Our Mission
J3C empowers Palestinian youth to take active leadership roles within their communities by developing their creativity and life skills through meaningful, constructive programming.
Our Vision
A peaceful, just, and equitable world.
We believe that art, culture, and education are powerful tools for change. Our vision is to equip young Palestinians with these tools so they can lead the way toward a more just, peaceful, and equitable future.
Our Values
We foster the values of tolerance, reconciliation, non-violence, and democracy by helping young people express their views, share their stories, and connect with broader audiences. Through volunteer opportunities, cultural dialogue, and environmental awareness, we encourage youth to become engaged, thoughtful citizens.
Our Story
The Jenin Creative Cultural Centre (J3C) was founded in 2005 in response to the violence experienced in the Jenin refugee camp. We use art, culture, and education as tools to foster peace and promote justice in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Our programs are designed to help children and youth process trauma, express themselves, and build hope in the face of the harsh daily realities of occupation.
J3C operates both locally and internationally. In Jenin, we offer artistic workshops, dance classes, theatre and music performances, and regular puppet and clown shows in local schools. Internationally, we bring Palestinian stories to global audiences through cultural exchange—staging music performances in London, dance shows in Sweden, theatre acts in Venice and Berlin, and exhibiting artwork around the world. These events not only showcase our young artists’ talent but also help amplify Palestinian voices on the international stage.
To date, we have brought over 100 children from Jenin to perform and participate in cultural programs abroad. These opportunities allow them to experience life beyond the borders of Palestine—and to share their stories with the world.
Target Group
J3C serves Palestinian youth ages 6 to 25, providing a safe and creative space for expression, learning, and leadership.
